Evsizlik üzerine bir kent araştırması: İzmir örneği

ÖZETEvsizlik sosyal bilimlerde kentsel yoksulluk veya yoksulluk literatüründe görmezden gelinen ve arka planda tutulan, hakkında araştırmalara nadir rastlanan bir konudur. Büyük bir kent olduğu düşünüldüğünde İzmir ili arka planda da olsa evsizlik problemlerinin yaşandığı bir şehirdir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma İzmir'de yaşayan evsiz bireylerin yaşam hikâyelerine odaklanarak, evsizliğin gelişimsel sürecini ve çok boyutlu nedenselliklerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. 1984-1990 yılları arasinda S.U. Tap Fakültesi Göğüs ve. Kalp Damar Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalında tetkik ve tedavi ettiğimiz 20 mediastinal kitleli hasta değerlendirildi. Erken teşhis ve tedavi ile, ma-lign tümörlü hastalarda daha uygun prognoza sahip olunabileceği kanaatine ulaşıldı. The cases of twenty patients, treated for turnors and cysts of mediastinurn between 1984-1990, have been investigated. it has been established that a more favourable prognosis could be obtained through early diagnosis and treatrnent of the patients with malignant turnors.

Bu çalışmada, en az bir yıldır major antiepileptik ilaç kullanan 42 epileptik hastada tiroid hormonları, testosteron, gonadotropin ve prolaktin değerleri ölçülerek ortaya çıkan değişiklikler araştırıldı. Sonuçta major antiepilepukleriın özellikle serbest T4 ve total testosteron değerlerinde azalma yaptığı belirlendi.
