Control and simulation of swarm mobile robots

This thesis presents both control of mobile robots that can move by using collective motion algorithm and simulation of the robots during the motion. The orientation of the robots was controlled remotely by one user during the collective motion. The transmission of orientation data from the remote controller to the robots was done by using XBee modules. The control algorithm of collective motion was developed by using individual-based model. The goal of this thesis is to develop the applicability of an ultra-low cost, field-deployable, plastic fiber based smartphone spectrometer system to study dye adsorption from water. As a result of the statistical studies carried out by the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people suffering from diabetes was 108 million in 1980, then it was increased to 422 million in 2014. Diabetes is increasing rapidly, particularly in underdeveloped and developing countries and it was predicted that 1.5 million people died because of it only in 2019 (WHO, 2021).

Hand gesture-based systems are one of the most effective technological advances. Surface electromyography (sEMG) is utilized as a popular input data for gesture classification with elevated accuracy and advanced control capability. In this thesis, which is based on the classification performance of Hilbert-Huang spectrum (HHS) images obtained from Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) of the sEMG of the gestures, an evaluation of the results of artificial intelligence (AI) methods on hand gesture classification using HHS image is presented.
