Artificial Intelligence Based Resource Allocation in Cell-Free Networks

Mert Demirel

With the rapid development of technology, cellular networks can no longer meet the demands of wireless networks. Communication systems need to be updated to ensure that every user equipment (UE) receives accurate and efficient service. Cell-free (CF) networks offer advantages over cellular networks, such as more flexible resource allocation, higher capacity, better coverage and lower interference. The deployment of multiple access points (APs) and flexible allocation of resources leads to higher network performance and efficiency. In addition, in CF networks, users can communicate with ...Daha fazlası

Submitted to the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of

Caner MURAT

Surface Roughness Performance Related to the Direction in Composite Structures Produced by the Fused Filament Fabrication Method and Improve to Surface Roughness

Özlem DOĞRU

Additive manufacturing is used today in different industries to produce prototypes and even final products. Additive manufacturing offers solutions for the fabrication of complex geometries and is preferred for manufacturing parts in a wide variety of applications. The fused filament fabrication (FFF) method is the additive manufacturing method with the most users worldwide. With the developing material science, it has been possible to produce composite structures and even metal products by going beyond the production of pure polymers in the FFF method. The mechanical properties of the materia ...Daha fazlası

Joining Aluminum 6061 Alloy Thin Sheets by Friction Stir Spot Welding Method

Serkan GÜNDOĞDU

In this study, the Friction Stir Spot Welding (FSSW) method was employed to join thin AA6061-T4 series aluminum sheets. The AA6061-T4 alloy used in the study has various applications, including aerospace and automotive industries. During the joining process using the FSSW method, emphasis was placed on three parameters: tool rotational speed, pin length, and pin width, considering the advantages of the aluminum alloy used. A total of 12 welding operations were performed with different parameter combinations. The obtained specimens were examined for their mechanical properties, temperature meas ...Daha fazlası

Classification of Hand Gestures Using Time-Frequency Analysis and Different Artificial Intelligence Methods

Deniz Hande Kısa

Hand gesture-based systems are one of the most effective technological advances. Surface electromyography (sEMG) is utilized as a popular input data for gesture classification with elevated accuracy and advanced control capability. In this thesis, which is based on the classification performance of Hilbert-Huang spectrum (HHS) images obtained from Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) of the sEMG of the gestures, an evaluation of the results of artificial intelligence (AI) methods on hand gesture classification using HHS image is presented.

Dynamics of Axisymmetric Drops Impacting onto Heterogeneous Surfaces

Atalay SEÇER

The way a droplet behaves when it lands on a surface depends on the characteristics of the surface and the flow conditions of the droplet. It can deposit, rebound, splash, etc. There is delimited research on how surface roughness and chemical composition affect the deformation of droplets upon impact, in comparison to the studies done on smooth surfaces. Our model uses two-phase flow to simulate the axisymmetric motion of droplets over surfaces with heterogeneities by combining the Navier-Stokes equations for motion with the Cahn-Hilliard equation for tracking the phase-field. We integrate the ...Daha fazlası

Controlling the Motion of Capillary Driven Interfaces in Channels with Chemical Heterogeneity

Mehmet Alptuğ Boylu

The use of self-driven fluids (e.g., droplets, capillary flows) attracts many researchers as the external driving mechanisms are diminished or eliminated. The contact angle hysteresis generates a driving force (a pressure difference across interfaces). This pressure depends on the interaction with the solid substrates and is controlled if one varies the surface energy of the walls. Self-transport and manipulation of interfaces play an important role in the development of microfluidic devices, self-cleaning, water harvesting and heat transfer enhancement. In this study, we search for the effect ...Daha fazlası
