ÖZETBilgi teknolojisi alanındaki gelişmeler ile mekânsal verilere ait ihtiyaç hem artmış hem de nitelikli veri elde etme ihtiyacı doğrultusunda yöntem arayışlarına sebep olmuştur. Uzaktan algılama ürünleri ile mekânsal verilere ait bilgilerin hızlı ve kolay erişilip, değerlendirilmesi de bu ürünleri son zamanlarda daha da popüler hale getirmiştir.
