Artificial Intelligence Based Resource Allocation in Cell-Free Networks

Mert Demirel

With the rapid development of technology, cellular networks can no longer meet the demands of wireless networks. Communication systems need to be updated to ensure that every user equipment (UE) receives accurate and efficient service. Cell-free (CF) networks offer advantages over cellular networks, such as more flexible resource allocation, higher capacity, better coverage and lower interference. The deployment of multiple access points (APs) and flexible allocation of resources leads to higher network performance and efficiency. In addition, in CF networks, users can communicate with ...Daha fazlası

Development of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotube-Based Flexible Screen-Printed Disposable Electrodes for Sensor Applications

Submitted to the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of

Millions of people worldwide suffer from diabetes and diseases caused by diabetes. As a result of the statistical studies carried out by the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people suffering from diabetes was 108 million in 1980, then it was increased to 422 million in 2014. Diabetes is increasing rapidly, particularly in underdeveloped and developing countries and it was predicted that 1.5 million people died because of it only in 2019 (WHO, 2021).

Development of Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Properties of Graphene-Based Nanocomposites by Using Stochastic Optimization Methods

Kemal Bartu Aydın

Today, with the developing telecommunications and electronic technologies for civilian and military purposes, electromagnetic (EM) applications have a wide usage area, including different frequency ranges, such as radar, wireless information transfer, and medical technologies, as well as radio frequencies. However, the broad use of these technologies causes EM wave pollution, so they have a devastating effect not only on the working functionalities of electronic devices but also on human health. Therefore, the need to develop these technologies to prevent EM wave pollution is increasing daily. ...Daha fazlası

3D Modelling Performance and Usage Area Analysis of Popular UAVs in the Surveying and Mapping Industry

Metehan MARAL

3D realistic models are used in many fields such as engineering, archaeology, and city planning. The most effective technique used to create these models is the photogrammetry technique. The hardware and software features of the unmanned aerial vehicles to be used to implement this technique are of great importance. Many different unmanned aerial vehicles can be used for photogrammetric studies in the surveying and mapping industry, and therefore users have difficulties choosing needed unmanned aerial vehicles for their studies. In this study, 3D modelling performance and usage areas of popula ...Daha fazlası

Comparison of the Methods Used in Acquisition of Private Property in the Scope of Public Interest

Tolga Kahyaoğlu

Public institutions need movable and immovable property, resource and altitude rights in order to perform their duties and services imposed on them by the constitution and laws. It is possible for public institutions to obtain these needs by renting or purchasing them by making a contract like all other real and legal legal persons. However, if the person who owns the properties or rights required by the Public Institutions does not want to make a contract, or if the price cannot be agreed upon, it will lead to the disruption or non-fulfillment of the duties and services required to be f ...Daha fazlası

Experimental Investigation and Numerical Modeling of Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams for Different Failure Modes

Marwan AL SAMAN

Automatic Detection of Alzheimer’s Disease with Transfer Learning and Image Processing Techniques

Atılay Yeşilada

Alzheimer's disease continues to be a serious public health issue. Alzheimer's disease affects generally old people, and it is a neurological disorder. The most significant sign of Alzheimer's disease is memory loss, which becomes worse over time. Therefore, early identification of Alzheimer's illness can aid in diseased getting the proper care. One of the aims of this thesis is to automate the early detection of Alzheimer's disease and create a self-improving system by utilising previous experiences each time it is detected automatically. In this way, the bad effects of the disease due to the ...Daha fazlası

Classification of Hand Gestures Using Time-Frequency Analysis and Different Artificial Intelligence Methods

Deniz Hande Kısa

Hand gesture-based systems are one of the most effective technological advances. Surface electromyography (sEMG) is utilized as a popular input data for gesture classification with elevated accuracy and advanced control capability. In this thesis, which is based on the classification performance of Hilbert-Huang spectrum (HHS) images obtained from Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) of the sEMG of the gestures, an evaluation of the results of artificial intelligence (AI) methods on hand gesture classification using HHS image is presented.

Printed Circuit Board Coil Based Electromagnetic Actuator Design For Micro/Milliscale Manipulation

Erdem Doguş AKKUŞ

Trends in nano and micro technologies have directed researchers' concern towards designing small-scale functional systems, i.e., MEMS, NEMS, etc. This study represents a design and implementation scheme for a class of small-scale actuators. Electromagnetic actuators currently used have disadvantages in small-scale applications since they cannot be produced in the desired sizes and compactness due to complex components. Using printed circuit board (PCB) based design strategies, scalable actuators can be produced in a smaller form factor and at a lower cost. The study aims to produce planar PCB ...Daha fazlası
