Morbidity and mortality rates due to COVID-19 infection are increasing rapidly all over the world. Antifungal drugs, mechanical or non-invasive ventilation, antibiotics for secondary infections, anticoagulants, and supportive treatments are used in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. In addition to the treatment processes, apheresis treatment can be applied with plasma collected from individuals whose disease has completely recovered. The implementation of apheresis treatments brings great responsibilities and difficulties to apheresis nurses. Apheresis nurses have roles and responsibilities such as carrying out apheresis applications, evaluating the symptoms that patients frequently experience and the severity of these symptoms, effective symptom management, empowering and educating patients, emergency management, and infection control. Apheresis nurses witness patients whose health condition deteriorates immediately, provide symptom management, and work with personal protective equipment without interruption for a long time. Apheresis nurses need to be supported in terms of protecting their health, stress management, and professional self-care during the COVID-19 process.

The new coronavirus, named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization, has taken the whole world under its influence in a short time. It is a rapidly spreading infectious disease and is transmitted by contact and respiratory droplets. There are many risky groups regarding COVID-19. Pregnant women and newborns have an important place among these groups. Antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum processes of mothers diagnosed with COVID-19 may also cause anxiety in individuals in terms of mother-infant health. Although there are few resources available on whether COVID-19 is transmitted from mother to baby transplacentally, it is thought that it can be transmitted via respiratory droplets during breastfeeding and when the necessary precautions are not taken. In addition, the feeding and breastfeeding process of the newborn has become a debated issue in this process. When the recommendations from many health institutions are examined, breastfeeding is recommended in this process. Addressing the maternal and infant health frequently during the pandemic process, guiding infected mothers in their birth processes via training and counseling by nurses, providing consultancy and support where necessary, protecting, maintaining, and improving newborn health via quality care will help minimizing the negative effects of the pandemic on maternal and infant health and preventing possible complications. The purpose of the present review is to present information on newborn health, newborn nutrition, and breastfeeding processes during the COVID-19 pandemic proces Daha fazlası Daha az

Bununla birlikte, COVID- . . .19’u yönetme savaşında, anneye ve yenidoğana yönelik sağlık hizmetleri bazı ülkelerde daha az öncelikli hale gelmiştir. Pandemi sürecinde cinsiyet ayrımcılığı, aile içi şiddet, insan hakları ihlallerinde bir artış olduğu görülmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı, yaşanılan pandemi sürecinde ebelik mesleğinde yaşanan değişiklikler ile birlikte ebelik bakım kalitesinin sürdürülmesi için yapılması gerekenler üzerine öneriler sunmaktır. As midwifery and nursing professions are the first and only point of care for the populations, the World Health Organization has determined the year 2020 as the International Year of Midwives and Nurses. During critical periods such as pregnancy, delivery and postpartum, midwives are in the center to protect the health of women and newborns. Midwifes also play an important role in providing access to contraception and other reproductive health services for women. The World Health Organization estimates that 83% of all maternal deaths, stillbirths and newborn deaths can be prevented by midwifery care programs. However, in the battle of COVID-19 management, maternal and neonatal healthcare have become less of a priority in some countries. It is observed that there is an increase in gender discrimination, domestic violence, and violations of human rights during the pandemic process. The purpose of this review is to provide suggestions on what is needed to ensure the maintenance of midwifery care quality along with the changes in the midwifery profession during the pandemic proces Daha fazlası Daha az

Fitzpatrick’in ritim kurama göre; kriz anında bireyin bütünlüğü tehdit altında kalmaktadır. Bireyin deneyimlediği krizler bireyin gelişim sürecindeki ritmik çıkışları belirtmekte, zamansal, hareketsel, bilişsel ve algısal davranışlarını etkilemektedir. Nitel olarak planlanan çalışmada; COVID-19’da bir . . . pandemi sorumlu hemşiresinin deneyimleri Fitzpatrick ritim kuramına göre değerlendirildi. Pandemi sürecinde iş-ev yaşantısında aldığı önlemler ve pandemi sürecinde hemşire olmakla ilgili görüşleri sunuldu. Çalışmada; pandemi servis sorumlu hemşiresinin sorumluluğunun arttığı, bulaş alma ve bulaştırma endişesi yaşadığı belirlendi. COVID-19 is defined as a global crisis because it affects the flow of the daily life. Nurses who play an active role in the patient care and follow-up processes of COVID-19 aim to achieve the best results in patient care during the crisis period. Theories contribute to the development of the nursing profession and they guide nurses regarding providing the right care. According to Fitzpatrick's rhythm theory, in case of crisis, the integrity of the individual is under threat. The crises experienced by the individual specify the rhythmic exits in the development process of the individual, and affect his/her temporal, motional, cognitional, and perceptual behaviors. In this qualitatively planned study, the experiences of a charge nurse of a COVID-19 pandemic department were evaluated according to the Fitzpatrick’s rhythm theory. Her work-home life measures against to the pandemic and her opinions about being a nurse during pandemic processes were presented. In the study, it was determined that the responsibility of the charge nurse was increased, and he experienced contamination and transmission anxiety Daha fazlası Daha az

Abstract The COVID-19 infection spread around the world in a short time and was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization in early 2020. To control the epidemic, some decisions affecting all segments of the society have been implemented by governments; such as curfews and travel restrictions, community activity cancellations, working from home, distance education and limiting some health services other than emergencies in hospitals. One of the measures affecting children’s lives and families is the school closures. With the closure of schools, face-toface education of children has been interrupted, and families have faced difficulties in accessing education services due to schools with inadequate technological infrastructure and lacking sufficient technological equipment. Also, there have been problems in accessing school health services such as nutrition, vaccination, and maintenance of health monitoring and controls provided to children and families. In this process, it has been reported that domestic problems, especially violence cases, have increased with long-term home quarantines. Depending on the course of the pandemic, schools have been reopened partially or full-time in some countries. Certain regulations have been made for the reopening of schools in our country and a series of individual and institutional measures and practices have become a current issue for pandemic control. Since there are no school health nurses in our country, especially in public schools, teachers have undertaken the control of the pandemic in many schools. Nursing services, which have increased in importance all over the world during the pandemic, are also essential for the school community. School health nurses, who are professional health workers, have a key role in protecting and sustaining the health of the school community, which constitutes a significant portion of the country’s population. Although there are no school health nurses in every school in our country, the need for them has once again emerged in filling the gap between education and health in pandemic management. The purpose of this review is to present a holistic view of the roles and responsibilities of school health nurses at primary, secondary and tertiary protection levels in the COVID-19 pandemic Daha fazlası Daha az

Aralık 2019’da Çin’in Wuhan şehrinde, deniz ürünleri pazarı kaynaklı yeni bir coronavirüs çeşidi kısa sürede pandemi haline gelmiş ve tüm ülkelerin ortak problemi olmuştur. Şiddetli Akut Solunum Sendromu Coronavirüs-2 tek zincirli, pozitif polariteli, zarflı, ribonükleik asit virüsüdür. COVID-19 solunum sistemini hedef almaktadır ve insandan insana bulaşma damlacık yoluyla gerçekleşmektedir. Virüsün cansız yüzeylerde sağ kalımını sürdürebilmesi temas yoluyla da bulaşmayı mümkün kılmaktadır. Hastalığın belirtileri arasında ateş, nefes darlığı, öksürük yer almaktadır. Olguların çoğunda hafif semptomlar görülse de, pnömoni, akut solunu . . In December 2019, a novel coronavirus originating from a seafood market in Wuhan, China became a pandemic in a short time and a common problem for all countries. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 is a single-chain, positive polarity, and enveloped ribonucleic acid virus. COVID-19 targets the respiratory system and humanto-human transmission occurs by inhalation of respiratory droplets. The virus’s survival on inanimate surfaces also makes it possible to be transmitted by contact. Symptoms of the disease include fever, shortness of breath, and cough. Although mild symptoms are present in the majority of the cases, there are also severe clinical conditions such as pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, multiple organ failure, and death. Mask use, social distancing, and hand-washing play a key role in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Much still needs to be learned about this newly recognized infection Daha fazlası Daha az
