ABSTRACTIn this study, the effect of local heating on the weld line formation in a plastic injection mold was studied by using acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polypropylene 20 glass fiber (PP GF20) plastic material. An aluminum 6000 insert was fitted into the injection mold to set temperatures for local heating.
