Effects of modified and conventional facemask therapies with expansion on dynamic measurement of natural head position in Class III patients

Objectives: The aims of the present study were (1) to determine ethnic differences in craniofacial dimensions between Turkish and Saudi populations and (2) to identify possible gender differences between males and females, based on a sample of untreated young adult subjects with normal occlusions and well-balanced faces. Amaç: Nekrotik pulpalı immatür dişlerde kök ucunun açık olması, kök kanal sisteminin geniş ve kök ucuna doğru genişleyerek sonlanması nedeniyle bu dişlerde endodontik tedavi ile etkili bir apikal tıkama oluşturulması oldukça zordur. Fifty extracted molar with deep dentinal carious lesions were excavated using a slow-speed handpiece. Influence of soft drinks on dental enamel: An in vitro study

This in vitro study was to evaluate the erosive potential of four soft drinks at different times on bovine teeth by profilometry. Bovine incisors buccal side was sectioned with a diamond saw and a total of 100 enamel blocks were prepared (8 × 4 × 0.5 mm). Kayseri Melikgazi Eğitim ve Araştırma Bölgesi’nde 0-36 aylık çocuklarda anne sütü alma durumu

Çalışma Kayseri Melikgazi Eğitim ve Araştırma Bölgesi’nde, 0-36 aylık çocukların anne sütü alma ve beslenme durumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. 2006’da aynı bölgede gerçekleştirilen Temel Çalışma'da örnekleme seçilen 3120 haneden, 3038 hanedeki 0-36 aylık çocuklar araştırmaya alındı. Veriler anket yöntemiyle annelerle görüşülerek toplandı. İstatistiksel analizlerinde ki-kare ve Student t testi kullanıldı. Araştırma grubundaki çocukların yaş ortalaması 16.03±10.4 aydı. Thyroid Functions in Children with Cerebral Palsy and Effects of Phénobarbital on Thyroid Hormones

Thyroid function tests were performed on 44 patients with cerebral palsy (CP) and on 35 healthy children as the control group. In the panent group total triiodothyronin (TT3), total thyroxine (TT4), free triiodothyronin (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels were found in wholly normal ranges. These values have shown no significant difference with respect to those of die control group (p>0.05). Torakal Spinal Kord Atrofîsi Olgularında Semptomların Ortaya Çıkışı

Bu çatışmada kliniğimizde 1992-1995 yıllan arasında yatarak tedavi gören 8 torakal kora atrofisi olgusu incelendi. Hastalarda torakal kord atrofısinin derecesi ile semptomların başlama süresi arasında bir ilişkinin olmadığı görüldü. Kord atrofisinin semptomların önüne geçtiği tespit edildi. In this study, 8 thoracal cord atrophy cases that had been admitted in our clinic between the years 1992 and 1995 have been investigated. It was seen that there was no correlation between the degree of cord atrophy and duration of symptoms. Cord atrophy was proved to precede clinical manifestations.
